KB #240137: Requesting a Permanent Registration Key

⏱️ 2 min read

Type:

Info

Summary:

You have installed Encryptionizer with a Temporary Registration key and wish to permanently activate the software on the machine.

Note: This KnowledgeBase article refers to a version of Encryptionizer (2019.1210.52.51 or earlier) that is no longer supported (except by special arrangement). If you have a valid license under a current support and maintenance plan, reach out to support on how to access the latest version of software and activation instructions.

Additional Information:

Instructions:

  • Initially install the production version of  Encryptionizer using a Temporary Registration key. If you have the Evaluation version installed, you need to perform this step first.
  • Run the Enter Registration Key program from the Encryptionizer Main Menu
  • Make a note of the Hardware code (format XXXX-XXXX) displayed.
  • You will also need your machine name. If you are not sure, open a Command Window and type “hostname”. This command will return your machine name.
  • Visit http://www.netlibsecurity.com/reg3 (it does not have to be from the same computer)
  • Fill out the form, including the serial number, machine name, server purpose and Hardware code, plus email to which to send registration key
  • If this is a replacement registration key due to software update or moving installations to a new machine, tell us in the Comments section that this is a replacement and the name of the original machine registered.
  • You will receive the permanent key by email within 1-2 business days of submission of the registration request.

If you need a Temporary Registration key, please submit a support request (https://netlibsecurity.com/support).

Important: Do not apply a Permanent Registration key to an evaluation version. The evaluation version, while functionally identical to the production software, has a hard stop incorporated which a Permanent Registration key cannot override. You must install a Production version of the software over the Evaluation version in order to permanently activate a machine.
